Working Together to Support New Mexico Students
The New Mexico Simon Scholars Program is built on relationships, and our partners are an essential part of that community. Together, we expand what’s possible for our Scholars by creating opportunities that support their growth, education, and future careers.
Over the years, we’ve learned that the strongest partnerships are thoughtful and collaborative. Every organization we work with brings something unique, and we take care to build relationships that are meaningful for both our partners and our students.
What Partnership Looks Like
Our partners support Simon Scholars in many different ways. Some provide financial support that allows us to grow and serve more students. Others contribute time, expertise, or resources – offering mentoring, tutoring, workshops, transportation, or access to facilities.
Many partners also open doors for our Scholars by offering internships, scholarships, and hands-on learning experiences. These opportunities help students explore career paths, build confidence, and gain real-world experience—while partners connect with motivated, capable young people who are ready to contribute.

High School Partners
High School partners assist with the recruitment and application process, communicate with our staff on a regular basis to ensure that our scholars are receiving the academic support they need to succeed, and that they are meeting the expectations of a Simon Scholar in their school community.

Collegiate Partners
Collegiate partners are invited to interact directly with our scholars while in high school and share information about their campus community. Collegiate partners also assist our scholars with campus visits and provide support during the college application and transition process.

Community Partners
Community partners are invited to work with our scholars and their families to provide services that enrich our scholars’ experience throughout the program. We are interested in partnering with organizations that support our mission of facilitating meaningful opportunities for our scholars to better know themselves as individuals, family members, and community members.
